Countrytime Coastal FAQ
What do I need to bring on my trip?
Ensure to bring basic things such as sunscreen, water shoes, hats, sunglasses, and any food or drinks. You can also bring any fishing gear you'd prefer to use, but we do provide that. If you are not sure of something, please feel free to ask. Most importantly, bring your smile and leave all your life stressors at the dock.
What do you provide on the boat?
We provide all the basic necessities for the trip. We will have a cooler with ice, fishing gear and tackle, clam rakes, clam baskets, shell bags, etc.
Do I need a fishing license?
No. The boat covers all passengers.
How many people can come on the trip?
Per the U.S. Coast Guard, we are only allowed to take six people on a boat. If you have more than six people in your party, please send us a message or call/text Captain Kelly Jr. at 910-818-0622. We can help make arrangements for another boat. The cost for the additional boat is the same. For example, if you need two boats for a 3-hour trip, the total cost will be $680 ($340 per boat). Booking additional boats is not available online, so please call us to make that arrangement. Please do not show up at the scheduled time of your trip with more people than we can accommodate per boat. That will create a very intense moment of Family Feud...haha.
Can we bring alcohol on the trip?
Of course! You are on vacation! Just remember, safety is our number one priority. We just ask that you drink responsibly.
Can our furry family members (dogs) come on the trip?
Absolutely! We are a pet-friendly organization. And the good news is that pets do not count toward the six people allowed on the trip. However, they do have to be at least 3 to drink alcohol...haha.
Do we have to bring a life jacket for our children?
No, you do not. We have life jackets for all sizes, including for small children. On that note, children under 12 must wear a life jacket while the boat is underway. If you think getting pulled over by the police is embarrassing, try getting pulled over by the Coast Guard. And, it's super expensive. Anyhow, children under 12 may remove the life jacket at your discretion once we are stopped.
